Tools to monitor the traffic load on network links. These tools generate HTML pages containing graphical images, which provide a live visual representation of your network traffic. Various kinds of links can be monitored as long as the router that is running them supports SNMP (ex. the ISP internet connection and/or private links – traffic over site-to-site VPN tunnels)
Analyzes and reports on IP flow data exported by routers. The flows captured from Cisco routers are pushed into database that contains between one and eight traffic statistics measured at five minutes interval identifying one of the following flow attributes:
With this utility, we can measure your network system’s latency, latency distribution and packet loss. It uses another application to maintain a long-term data store and to draw impressive graphs, which give up to the minute information on the state of each network connection
This is designed to inform you of network problems before your coworkers, end-users or managers do. It has been designed to run under the Linux operating system, but works fine under most *UNIX variants as well. The monitoring application runs intermittent checks on hosts and services you specify using external "plug-ins" which return status information to the application. When problems are encountered, it can send notifications out to administrative contacts in a variety of different ways (email, instant message, SMS, etc.). Current status information, historical logs, and reports can all be accessed via a web browser.
